Based on Jonathan Lethem’s novel about Lionel Essrog, a lonely private detective who is afflicted with tourette’s syndrome and ventures to solve the murder of his mentor. Based in New York City in the 1950’s.

Shot and filmed all throughout New York City, as well as locations in Nassau County on Long Island.
On March 19, 2018 and March 20, 2018 location filming took place on the Wantagh State Parkway near Jones Beach and interiors were shot at Gold Coast Studios in Bethpage.
