PROVIDING PROTECTIVE AND BEAUTY CARE FOR ANYONE WHO IS AN ESSENTIAL WORKER ON THE FRONT LINES
LONG ISLAND, NY
This mission started out when a friend, who is an X-Ray Tech at South Nassau, normally not very overwhelmed, sent photos to Rachel Engel and Colette Morales of her red and swollen face, working 12+ hour shifts and completely drained.
Feeling helpless and wanting to show compassion for their friend, they sent a beauty care package, with gift cards to local restaurants, and facial masks to try and make her feel better.
She was so grateful for their generosity, they decided do this for as many people as they possibly could.
What was a great gesture of beauty care products, and gift cards has now evolved into many people at home, feeling helpless as well and wanting to donating money, make masks, and donating product.
Suddenly they were getting messages and texts from nurses, ambulance companies, front line essential workers, and many others asking for PPE.
They realized quickly the PPE was most important, and now they are seeking more support to buy more N95 / surgical masks, along with comforting beauty products, creams and wellness products in the packages.
Since NY Fit Fest North Shore in Oyster Bay was cancelled this June, so many NY Fit Fest Sponsors are donating to this cause, national brands donating protein/energy shakes, facial creams/masks and energy bars, to local retail med spas like Beauty Bar in Long Beach NY.

Colette Lee Morales Co-Founder of NY Fit Fest and her friend Rachel Engel, Business Development Rep. are spearheading this movement, and NY Fit Fest is reaching out to all their fitness, beauty and wellness sponsors to join in and help out.
“We started this with a mission to make our front line and essential workers feel appreciated and be able to find some comfort after long days of work wearing masks on their faces and constantly running around helping patients. Within hours of us putting this together, the mission changed to add the need for protective gear for so many people. We are overwhelmed with the generosity of people trying to help. Everyone feels like they just want to give and help in some way, we are giving them a chance to be apart of something that will make a difference.” Rachel Engel
Colette says: “We are happy to give everyone a platform to help those, that are helping us. Each and every person on the front lines is valued and important. We are all in this together and will continue to do everything we can to show our appreciation. It’s beautiful to see everyone coming together, 150 people will have masks today that they didn’t have them yesterday.”
